Crete is the largest and most populated Greek island, and the fifth largest island in the Mediterranean. All regions of Crete are quite popular for holidays, but Chania seems to attract the largest amount of repeat foreigners and Greeks as well.

Chania

Chania is the second largest city on Crete. It is situated in the western part of Crete and the main part of Chania lies along the north coast of the island, about 70 km west of Rethymno and 145 km west of Heraklion.

Stalos

Stalos is located 7 km west of the city of Chania, between Kalamaki and Agia Marina. Stalos is a tourist developed and attracts large numbers of visitors every summer.

Pano Stalos, located south to the mainland, is a beautiful village surrounded by green hills. Characteristic of the area are gorgeous relief formations of rocks.

Kato Stalos, which is the coastal part of the region has a fantastic sandy beach. The beach is very well organized and that all possible tourist services provided. For this reason, the beach awarded with the blue flag.

Platanias

Just 11 km west of the city of Chania you will come across the seaside town of Platanias. It is the most popular tourist resort in western Crete and is connected to Agia Marina beach area which is equally as famous. It offers a vivid lifestyle during the summer months since it is the nightlife area of the city of Chania.

Numerous bars, cafés and restaurants are located in Platanias which offer plethora of options for your entertainment during your holiday.
